I am dedicated to research on aging and health, more specifically, I study psychosocial coping resources of stress-health associations focusing on older adults. The rapid aging population has led to many health challenges among older adults. While older adults can embrace a much longer life expectancy due to medical advancement, the quality of life varies substantially across different health conditions and psychosocial status. The goal of my research to reduce the health disparities in late life and improve older adults’ health and well-being.

I will use the funding to attend a U-M ICPSR summer workshop on group-based trajectory modeling that will allow me to conduct the analyses for the project. With the support from the award, I will be able to substantially advance my methodological expertise and increase my potential to contribute to the field of aging and health.
