Recipients of PSC Small Grant Awards

This project will explore the consequences of isolation for the rural population in Malawi. The specific aims include: 1) collecting and analyzing preliminary data from existing sources on transportation access, transportation costs, transportation uses and possible economic and health impacts; and 2) pilot a field experiment testing the role of transportation infrastructure on the health and economic status of the rural poor.
