About:

Valerie Moise is a doctoral student in Health Behavior and Health Equity at the University of Michigan School of Public Health, a graduate trainee at the Population Studies Center, and a Rackham Merit Fellow. Before starting her doctoral program, Moise created and led community cancer education, screening, and clinical trial enrollment initiatives as a Community Outreach Liaison at OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center, and created policy focused efforts to advance systems-level change. Moise’s published research spans ageism and aging among older adults, as well as cancer screening and health disparities. Her work emphasizes accessible health education, policy aligned outreach, and community driven solutions.
