Sara Feldman

About:

Sara J. Feldman, MPH, is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Equity at the University of Michigan School of Public Health, and a graduate trainee of the Population Studies Center, with a focus on aging. Sara holds a BS from Pennsylvania State University (2015) and an MPH from the University of Michigan (2018).

Sara’s research is focused on understanding the ethical, social, behavioral and psychological implications of disclosing genetic and biomarker risk information for Alzheimer’s disease to patients and their family members and/or care partners. Sara is also interested in understanding the pre-dementia caregiver experience following disclosure of positive biomarker status to patients and any differential outcomes due to socioeconomic determinants of health.

Sara is a T-32 Predoctoral ELSI Genetics Fellow and a Rackham Merit Fellow.
