About:

Mengdi Ji, PhD, is a postdoctoral fellow at the Survey Research Center (SRC), Institute for Social Research (ISR), University of Michigan. She received her PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Her research focuses on population health equity, aging and cognitive health, and survey methodology. Her doctoral work examined vaccine uptake behaviors, cervical cancer screening, and HPV vaccine cost-effectiveness using health economic and epidemiologic methods, with collaborative projects in the U.S. and China. In her postdoctoral role, she works on improving population-based research data capacity for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD), with interests in hybrid sampling designs, measurement quality, and the application of AI and large language models in survey research.
