Lily Shipp (she/her) is a doctoral candidate at the University of Michigan School of Public Health in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Equity, and a trainee of the Population Studies Center. Currently, her research focuses on evaluating associations between psychosocial factors and PrEP adherence and using implementation science methods to evaluate and improve HIV prevention programs, particularly for women who inject drugs.

Lily graduated from U of M with a double major in Evolutionary Anthropology and Art History, and completed the Postbaccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award program at the National Institutes of Health. She also holds a Master’s of Science in Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (BSPH). Prior to beginning her PhD, she worked as a Senior Research Program Coordinator in the Department of Epidemiology at BSPH where she coordinated studies focused on HIV prevention and treatment programming for female sex workers in South Africa.
