About:

Joy Jang joined ICPSR in 2020 as a research investigator working with NAHDAP (National Addiction and HIV Data Archive Program). Her research interests lie at the intersection of human development, family demography, health and social contexts. She received her Ph.D. in human development and family science from Ohio State University and completed her postdoctoral training at Survey Research Center at University of Michigan. As a trained interdisciplinary quantitative methodology and survey researcher, she utilizes secondary data for her research on substance use and health over the life course.

She is also an affiliate of the University of Michigan Population Studies Center.
