About:

Janet Wang (she/her) is a doctoral candidate in Sociology from Winter Park, FL. She is also a social demography trainee at the Population Studies Center. Her research interests lie in work and retirement, aging and the life course, and social stratification. Her research explores economic inequality and health disparities in later life.

Janet holds BS degrees in Economics and Statistical Science from the University of Minnesota (2020).

An ISR Next Generation Scholar, Janet earned a PSC Small Grant from the Marshall Weinberg Endowment in 2022 for the project, “Stratification of Later Life Earnings.”
