About:

Charles Katulamu is a postdoctoral fellow with the Center for Global Health Equity Impact Scholars Program.

An alumnus of University of Michigan Sociology (PhD, 2026) and the Population Studies Center Training Program, Charles completed his BS in Population Studies at Makerere University in Uganda in 2019. Charles is highly interested in research around fertility intentions, preferences and behaviors, health care and access, gender, family, and migration.

An ISR Next Generation Scholar, Charles Katulamu received PSC Small Grants from the Marshall Weinberg Endowment in 2021, 2022, and 2023, for the projects, “Fertility Behaviors among Recent University Graduates. A Cohort Follow-Up Study in Kampala-Uganda,” and “Morals, Beliefs, and the Law Disconnected from Reality: Uncovering the Abortion Realm in Kampala, Uganda.”
