Alexandra (Sasha) Killewald


Dr. Killewald uses quantitative methods to study inequality in the contemporary United States. In one line of research, she investigates the gendered intersection of work and family. In a second line of research, she analyzes how wealth inequality persists across generations and the role of intergenerational processes in the racial wealth gap. She is currently conducting research on the changing gender pay gap in the United States. Dr. Killwald is the director of the Stone Center for Inequality Dynamics at the Institute for Social Research. She is affiliated with the Survey Research Center and is a member of PSC’s training faculty.
