Hina received her PhD in Economics from University of California Irvine in 2023. Her areas of interest are applied microeconomics, labor economics, economics of crime, and criminal justice policy. Her expertise lies in utilizing quasi-experimental research methods to generate data-driven insights on topics related to criminal justice. Broadly, her research focuses on studying policies and factors that hinder or facilitate the inclusion of justice involved individuals in mainstream society.
