Yang’s work suggests Hurricane Maria will prompt increased migration from Puerto Rico to US

With hurricane Maria’s devastation of Puerto Rico, many predict a large exodus – 100,000 to 200,000 Puerto Ricans – to the US mainland in the near future. Because Puerto Ricans are US citizens, they are free to move to and take jobs in the US.
