Xie and Zhou study cited in WSJ story on China’s political efforts to reduce income gap

In the face of a wide national income gap, China’s State Council is looking at policies to adjust income tax rates, increase safety net programs, and broaden the social responsibilities of state companies. Yu Xie and Xiang Zhou’s recent study, reported in a PNAS article, is cited as a source of data on China’s rising income inequality.
