Weir finds the conscientious earn more, save more for retirement

Using HRS and Social Security data, David Weir and Angela Lee Duckworth examined relationships between retirement wealth and (1) cognitive ability and (2) personality characteristics. They found that conscientious people tend to earn more and save more of their income than others with different personality characteristics.
