The Economist cites Inglehart in piece on strength of populism

Despite some recent setbacks for populist politicians and office holders, a recent paper by Roberto Stefan Foa and Yascha Mounk, cited in this story, indicates populism has risen worldwide over the past 25 years. This story also cites work by Ronald Inglehart and Pippa Norris, who found an increase in populists’ share of the vote in Europe – accounting for about 13% in the 2010s compared to 5% in the 1960s.
