Stephenson works with target audience in developing mobile/web app to encourage HIV testing and prevention

Looking for a way to promote HIV and STI testing and prevention for gender- and sexual-minority young adults, Rob Stephenson worked with a group from his target audience. The result is iCON, a web and mobile app that can be integrated into young people’s lives without increasing stigma around HIV/STIs and their association with LGBT youth. iCON integrates sexual health information with a variety of other life skills areas, not only reminding users to get tested, but also providing resources about LGBT dating, legal tools for tackling discrimination, and help with finding jobs.
