PSC Researcher and Professor of Nursing, Rob Stephenson weighs in on the multi-year rise in cases of STDs in the US, as tracked by the CDC.”It’s alarming how they’re concentrated among young people, and to me it really speaks to the need for us to up our game in educating young people on not only the basics of sex education but sexuality education and relationship education too,” said Rob Stephenson, a professor and director of the Center for Sexuality and Health Disparities at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, who was not involved in the new CDC report.”I think it also speaks to the quite urgent need for us to be a little bit more inventive in how we meet people where they are in STI testing,” Stephenson said.
