In 2018 the Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research, along with community-based partners in Flint, established a fund for research and action to address health consequences stemming from the Flint water crisis. Among the 8 awards made by MICHR in May 2018 – each led by at least two academic and community partners – is one by Lesli Skolarus and Erica Thrash-Sall: Optimizing Aging in Flint.
