Shaefer on mapping Michigan’s poverty and well-being using 8 indicators

U-M’s Poverty Solutions has developed an online map of poverty by county in Michigan, integrating data from the US Census, United Way, CDC Community Health Indicators, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The map incorporates median income, poverty rate, child poverty rate, percent of working poor, percent on food subsidies, percent single-parent households, and life expectancy.
