PSC apportionment calculator projects 2020 loss of 1 in 14 of Michigan’s seats in House

Entering the latest US Census population data into a calculator at the Population Studies Center, suggests that in 2020, Michigan will lose 1 of its 14 seats in the House of Representatives. According to the calculation, other seat losers are Illinois, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania, with Florida, North Carolina, Oregon, and Texas projected to gain one seat each. The calculator allows users to see how changes in state populations are reflected in the apportionment of House Seats for 2020 as compared to 2010.
