PRB policy communication training for pre-docs extends application deadline to March 12

The US Policy Communication Training Program prepares participants to influence policy and practice through effective communication by helping them to:- Understand the process by which research informs the policy environment.- Use various means to communicate findings to US and international policy audiences.- Develop salient written and verbal communication skills. *Who Should Apply?*The training is open to US citizens and permanent residents (Green Card holders) pursuing doctoral programs at reputable US academic institutions and who are between their 3rd and 5th year of studies. Applicants may be in any field of study, but their research focus must be related to demography, reproductive health, or population health.*Program Information.*Training consists of a week-long workshop in Washington DC, June 4-8, 2018 and a practicum during the 2018-2019 academic year in which participants will prepare two policy communication items based on their dissertation or related research.This program is made possible by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health (NIH) Eunice Kennedy Shriver Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD).
