Peterson looks at brain age as function of physical activity

Mark Peterson and colleagues are using neuro imaging to examine the role of physical activity in brain function. Because it is known that brain circuits associated with specific neurocognitive functions exhibit distinct kinds of changes during aging, the scientists will be looking at whether or not “physical activity alters the brain’s aging trajectories to preserve cognitive health.”
