Peterson et al. find children with weak grip strength more likely to have poor health in later years

Results from a new study by Mark Peterson and colleagues finds that measures of grip strength can help identify youths who could benefit from lifestyle changes to improve fitness and reduce their risk of cardiometabolic health problems down the line. Although grip strength is often used to measure and predict the health and ability of older adults, this study is the first to to do so for adolescent health over time.
