Nathalie Williams wins Distinguished Dissertation Award

Nathalie Williams, a 2009 PSC trainee, was honored by UM’s Rackham Graduate School and ProQuest for her 2009 dissertation, “Living With Conflict: The Effect of Community Organizations, Economic Assets, and Mass Media Consumption on Migration During Armed Conflict.” The Distinguished Dissertation Awards are given for dissertations that are “truly exceptional for the high quality of their scholarship and for the significance and interest of their findings.” Bill Axinn was Nathalie’s dissertation chair and Barbara Anderson was on her committee.
