Miller et al. find benefits of Medicaid for pregnant mothers in 1980s carry over two generations

According to a recent paper by U-M economist Sarah Miller and colleagues Chloe East, Marianne Page, and Laura Wherry, federal expansion of Medicaid in the 1980s to more low-income pregnant mothers affected health outcomes for later generations – representing a substantial return on government investment.
