Martha Bailey winner of 2011 IPUMS Research Award

Martha Bailey’s paper (with William Collins): [“Did Improvements in Household Technology Cause the Baby Boom? Evidence from Electrification, Appliance Diffusion, and the Amish,”](http://www.psc.isr.umich.edu/pubs/abs/7309) in the April 2011 issue of *American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics,* is the co-winner of the 2011 Best Published Work using IPUMS-USA/IPUMS-CPS data. The award is made by the Minnesota Population Center, home of the IPUMS microdata samples from both U.S. and international census records.
