Martha Bailey and Nicolas Duquette win Cole Prize for article on War on Poverty

At the 2014 meeting of the Economic History Association, Martha Bailey and PhD student Nicolas Duquette won the Arthur H. Cole Prize, awarded annually by the Editorial Board of the Journal of Economic History for the best article in the previous year’s volume. The title of the article is: “How Johnson Fought the War on Poverty: The Economics and Politics of Funding at the Office of Economic Opportunity” (June 2014).
