Liberal-conservative gap by education level growing in U.S.

A new Pew study shows that educated Americans, more than ever, lean to the political left of less educated Americans. This ideological gap by education, which has increased substantially over the past two decades, is concomitant with growing political polarization. The 2015 gap is most evident in those reporting views that fall into the ‘Consistently Liberal’ classification, with 26 percentage points between those who attended grad school (31%) and those with high school or less (5%).
