Levenstein and colleagues find office proximity promotes research collaboration

November 02, 2012

In particular, [findings](http://www.sampler.isr.umich.edu/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/NCRCReport.pdf) show that researchers who occupy the same building or same floor are, respectively, 33% and 57% more likely to form new collaborations than their non-co-located counterparts.
