She discussed her findings using RDSL study data on links between intimate relationship characteristics, contraception use, partner violence, and pregnancy. “Rates of unintended pregnancy remain high in the United States, especially for a developed country, and there is a lot of variation across groups with much higher rates among disadvantaged young people,” Kusunoki said. “There are still a lot of people who don’t use contraception, and when they do use it, they don’t do so consistently.”
