Kruger says ‘male scarcity’ drives conditions that lead to youth violence

Daniel Kruger found that a low ratio of adult men to women is “the most powerful predictor” of youth violence in his study of Flint, Michigan, an economically downtrodden city consistently ranked among the most dangerous in the U.S.
