Krause says having religious friends leads to gratitude, which is associated with better health

Neal Krause and colleagues have found that volunteering in church is linked to having more religious friends, which in turn is linked to more gratitude toward God and better reported health. Krause says believing that God “is in a far better position than human beings to provide help in stressful times” is health enhancing.
