Jean Campbell of ISR and CEW remembered

Jean Campbell, founding director of the University of Michigan’s Center for the Education of Women (1964) and wife of ISR Founder Angus Campbell, died on March 19, 2016 at the age of 98. Although she was best known for her role at CEW, Jean was also a central figure in the founding of ISR and for many years after. She participated in ISR programs, she advocated for the Institute, and she and Angus opened their home as a gathering place to the growing research faculty at ISR. The Campbell Family is planning a memorial service for Saturday, April 16 – details to follow.
