Jackson says risk behavior may be factor in life expectancy declines among less-educated whites

Recent studies of mortality data show that life spans for some of the least educated Americans are contracting. Although the reasons behind the decline are unclear, James Jackson posits that today’s whites with low levels of education may exhibit more health risky behaviors than did their counterparts in the previous generation.
