The Institute for Social Research’s program in Society, Population, and Environment (SPE) focuses on social change and social issues worldwide, with long-term programs of research in both North America and South Asia. The Society, Population, and Environment Program is organized around four themes: * Social Organization, Social Relationships, and Social Psychology * Population Dynamics and Family Change * Environmental Change * New Methods for Social ResearchThe Program also involves substantial educational activities at the post-doctoral, doctoral, and undergraduate levels. The Society, Population, and Environment Program is part of both ISR’s Population Studies Center and ISR’s Survey Research Center.SPE Partners include: * Population and Ecology Research Laboratory (PERL) * Institute for Social and Environmental Research-Nepal (ISER-N) * Partnerships for International Research and Education (PIRE)
