Fusaro, Levy and Shaefer examine racial/ethnic disparities in the lifetime prevalence of homelessness

In a forthcoming article in Demography, the authors estimated the lifetime prevalence of homelessness among Baby Boom cohort using the Health and Retirement Study. The results showed 6.2 % of respondents experienced homelessness at some point in their lives. Rates of homelessness were higher for non-Hispanic blacks or Hispanics than for non-Hispanic whites.
