New data from the Census Bureau show that fewer young adults (ages 25-29) moved residence in the prior year than in any other year since 1963. The sluggish economy is viewed as the main culprit, with young adults delaying careers, marriage, and children for financial reasons. William Frey says: “Many young adults, especially those without college degrees, are still stuck in place. For them, low mobility might be more than a temporary lull and could turn into the ‘new normal.'”
