Frey explains the minority-majority remapping of America

November 18, 2014

Bill Frey says that — given the impending baby boom of recent Hispanic, Asian, and other immigrant groups — these current minority populations will outnumber the white population in the U.S. by 2050. This, in turn, will lead to changes in social and family structures, the economy, and politics. This is good news, demographically speaking, says Frey. Given the aging of the white population, the surge in ‘minority’ births will constitute much of the next generation of America’s labor market.
