Elliott co-PI on new study examining how early environment impacts children’s health

Michael Elliott is part of a team of researchers from across the state of Michigan involved in a 7-year NIH-funded national project to study how exposure to factors like pollution, nutrition, and infection affect childhood health. Some see the Environmental Influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) study as a reboot of NIH’s canceled National Children’s Study. In addition to U-M, the research team is drawn from Michigan State University, Wayne State University, Henry Ford Health System, and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
