Clarke and Ailshire find air quality linked to cognitive decline in older adults

Philippa Clarke and Jennifer Ailshire recently found evidence of an association between air pollution and cognitive function among adults age 55 and older, independent of demographic and socioeconomic characteristics. Their results suggests that improvements to air quality may be an important mechanism for reducing age-related cognitive decline.
