The 2020 Dorothy S. Thomas Award, presented annually by PAA for the best graduate student paper on the interrelationships among social, economic and demographic variables has been awarded to Christina Cross, PSC Alumna and Postdoctoral Fellow in Sociology at Harvard.Dr. Cross’s paper “Racial/Ethnic Differences in the Association Between Family Structure and Children’s Education,” was published in Journal of Marriage and Family.Dr Cross is a former PSC predoctoral trainee and a 2019 graduate of Michigan’s joint PhD program Sociology and Public Policy.
