Choi, Schoeni, Martin, Langa assess trends in cognitive limitations among older Americans over the past 16 years

A recent analysis of trends from 1998 to 2014 in the prevalence of cognitive limitation (CL) among Americans age 55-69 reveals no significant change in the overall prevalence of CL, widening disparities by income, and improvements among non-Hispanic whites but not other racial/ethnic groups.The study, by HwaJung Choi, Robert Schoeni, Linda Martin, and Kenneth Langa, used HRS data in models controlling for age, gender and previous cognitive testing.
