Carrot, not stick, for curbing high-intensity drinking on campus?

Megan Patrick of the Monitoring the Future study says that college students living on campus have more opportunities to drink than their counterparts. This piece suggests that these ‘opportunities’ should be countered with positive alternatives to alcohol-fueled activities and prevention efforts rather than punitive after-the-fact actions.
