Burgard in Slate on health impacts of job loss fear

This piece on the stress associated with prospective unemployment due to automation cites work by Sarah Burgard, who found that the fear of unemployment could have worse effects on health than actual unemployment. In addition, job loss in the US often means losing health insurance. Burgard says: “This is the worst place in the world for [automation] to happen to you.”
