Bachman says teens should avoid working long hours during high school

Teens who work are more likely to spend their money on personal expenses than to save for college, says Jerald Bachman. And even if they do put money aside for college, Bachman says working during high school can have other negative effects on teens, such as lower school performance and higher substance use.
