The National Institute on Aging has awarded University of Michigan researchers $3,480,980 to fund a new center that will focus on how social and community contexts influence Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD). The Michigan Center for Contextual Factors in Alzheimer’s Disease (MCCFAD) will tap expertise from programs at the University of Michigan, Michigan State University and Wayne State University to advance research on epidemiology, health economics, and culturally sensitive care in order to address the complexity of ADRD and ultimately eliminate disparities.
