Continue data analysis, including variation in these trends by education level, race/ethnicity, and STEM discipline, and explore how the patterns vary when respondents? have a second child in the study period.

Once that analysis is complete, we will move on to data analysis for the second and third research foci: the cost of making career trajectory changes for family reasons, and the possible motherhood penalty for women who have children but remain employed in STEM full-time. Our examination of these areas will be guided by the hypotheses stated in our original proposal.
