Martha Bailey will serve on the Multi-Generational Longitudinal Panel and will participate in project leadership. As PI of the Longitudinal, Intergenerational Family Electronic Micro-Database (LIFE-M) Project, Bailey brings expertise in vital records quality and linking protocols to this project. LIFE-M Research Scientist Catherine Massey, also an expert in historical record linkage, will also participate in the project. In years 1-3, Bailey and Massey will advise on the development of linking algorithms and procedures, including training data protocols. In years 4 and 5, they will advise on the challenges and opportunities of linking census and vital records data and help link LIFE-M to the IPUMS-Multigenerational Longitudinal Panel. Bailey and Massey will participate in project and program-wide meetings throughout the life of the project.
