Rachel Martin (she/her) is a PhD student in the department of Health Behavior and Health Equity at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Her research focuses on the intersections between community violence, the built environment, and urban health disparities. Prior to pursuing her PhD, Rachel worked as a research manager at Uncornered, a violence intervention nonprofit in Boston and Kansas City. Originally from St. Louis, she holds a MPH in Health Policy and Law and a BS in Health Science, both from Boston University.
