Seminar on aging and metabolism, U-M’s Kahn Auditorium, Nov 11, 10 am

November 08, 2016

NIH’s Jay Chung will present results of recent work on the role of DNA-dependent protein kinase (DNA-PK) in aging-related declines in metabolism and fitness. Chung’s work indicates that a small molecule inhibitor of DNA-PK prevents weight gain and the decline of physical fitness in middle-age mice, and protects against type-2 diabetes in obese mice.Nov 11, 10 am, Kahn Auditorium, U-M Biomedical Science Research Building, 109 Zina Pitcher Pl.
